Michael Bottros, MD, is associate professor of anesthesiology at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California and the clinical operations and medical director of pain services at Keck School of Medicine of USC and LAC+USC. He is board certified in the field of anesthesiology and subspecialty of pain medicine. Dr. Bottros is a nationally recognized leader in the field of acute and chronic pain management. He founded the Acute Pain Service in 2013 at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Dr. Bottros became associate chief of the Washington University Pain Management Division in 2017. For his outstanding work in education, Dr. Bottros received several awards including the Department of Anesthesiology Teacher of the Year Award and Department of Surgery “Friend of the Surgery Resident Award.” He has published numerous peer-reviewed scientific papers in the fields of pain medicine and anesthesiology through highly ranked journal publications and textbook contributions. In addition, he has been invited to speak at over 100 local, national, and international conferences.
